Education and training
As one of the few triple board certified plastic surgeons worldwide, Dr. Gino Vissers has an exceptional qualification that reflects his extensive training, skill, and an unparalleled level of precision.
Dr. Vissers completed his medical training Belgium, one of the world's leading countries in medicine. He achieved the highest honours, graduating with greatest distinction from Antwerp University. He was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science (BSc), followed by a Master of Medicine (MMed) and the higher post-graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD).
Dr. Gino Vissers was further trained in European centres of excellence in Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. He is able to provide surgical expertise in cosmetic surgery, facial surgery, body contouring, breast surgery, skin cancer surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery and general plastic surgery. Dr. Vissers achieved a Master of Specialist Medicine (MMed) with greatest distinction, and he obtained the highly respected post-graduate specialist certificate in hand surgery (BHSC) from the esteemed KU Leuven in Belgium.
Dr. Vissers has distinguished appointments as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England (FRCS(Plast)), Fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum (FCCP), and Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). He also is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at University of Antwerp in Belgium and at the prestigious Pan Thames training program in plastic surgery in London.

Dr. Vissers has published and presented his scientific work in world-renowned societies and journals, including the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery (RBSPS), the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), the Société Française de Chirurgie de la Main (SFCM), and the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS), the British Journal of Surgery (BJS), and the Journal of Hand Surgery (JHS).

Ever since the age of 15 years, Dr. Vissers has been involved as both an ambassador and an active participant in multiple volunteering projects, with a particular interest in healthcare and education. The volunteering projects include the Edukans Foundation (Netherlands), Project Sexual Education at Schools (Belgium), Basic Education Support Program (Uganda), Health Need Uganda (Uganda), Child Rehabilitation Outreach (Uganda), Collaborative Efforts to Alleviate Social Problems (Uganda), Partnership on Basic Education Development and Management (Uganda), Kalyan Medical Centre (India), Government Civil Hospital (India), Dr. Shruti Goenka Memorial Hospital (India) and Kapila Nursing Home (India).
Dr. Vissers is also past-student representative at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Antwerp (Belgium), and past-secretary of Belgian Residents in Plastic Surgery (BRPS) (Belgium).
